Mobile Tyre Replacement the straightforward way

A flat or blown tyre doesn't have to mean a recovery truck or a nervous drive to a garage on a space-saver. Local Transport provides mobile tyre replacement — we come to you, remove the damaged tyre and fit a replacement at the roadside, on your driveway or in a car park, so you can carry on your way.

Fitted where you are
On the hard standing at home, in a work or supermarket car park, or roadside where it's safe — no need to move the car first.
Repair or replace, done properly
Not every puncture is repairable. If it's in the sidewall, too large, or the tyre has been run flat, it needs replacing — and we'll tell you which it is.
Right tyre, correct fitment
Tell us the size on the tyre wall (e.g. 205/55 R16) when you call and we'll bring a suitable replacement.
Safe and legal
A tyre below 1.6mm of tread, or with sidewall damage, is illegal and unsafe. We fit tyres that meet the legal standard so you're road-legal when we leave.

Questions about mobile tyre replacement

Sometimes. UK repairs follow BS AU 159 — only punctures in the central three-quarters of the tread, under 6mm, on a tyre that hasn't been run flat, can be repaired. Sidewall damage, bulges, or a tyre driven on while flat mean replacement. Our repair-or-replace guide explains it in full.

The tyre size (printed on the sidewall, like 205/55 R16), the make and model of the car, and your location. That lets us bring the right replacement first time.

A space-saver is a get-you-home temporary only — speed-limited and not for long use. Replacing the full tyre means you're back to a proper, legal set-up rather than driving on a restricted spare.

Both, where it's safe to do so. On a driveway or car park is straightforward; at the roadside we assess whether it's safe to work — on a motorway hard shoulder it isn't, and recovery is the safer route.

Yes. The legal minimum is 1.6mm of tread across the central three-quarters and around the full circumference, and cuts, bulges or exposed cords make a tyre illegal. It's an MOT failure and can carry penalty points per tyre.
