Terms of Service
Last updated 29 July 2026. Please read these terms, which govern our services and your use of this website.
About us
This website is operated by Local Transport, a UK roadside assistance and recovery service operating as a sole trader under the trading name Local Transport. You can reach us on 07737 477003 or [email protected].
Our services
We provide car recovery, jump starts and mobile tyre replacement. Descriptions on this website are for general information. Whether a particular job can be carried out depends on your vehicle, your location and safety on the day — for example, work will not be attempted where it is unsafe, such as on a motorway hard shoulder, and recovery may be recommended instead.
Quotes and bookings
Any price we give is based on the information you provide (location, vehicle, and the nature of the problem). A quote becomes firm once we have confirmed it with you for the specific job; if the situation on arrival is materially different from what was described, the price may need to be revised, and we will discuss this with you before proceeding. There is no membership or subscription — you pay for the job you have agreed.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information about your vehicle, location and situation so we can help safely and quote fairly.
- Ensure, as far as you reasonably can, that you and any passengers are in a safe place while waiting — follow the guidance in our advice & guides, and call the emergency services on 999 if anyone is in danger.
- Make sure you are entitled to request work on the vehicle concerned.
Liability
We carry out our services with reasonable care and skill and hold insurance appropriate to the work we do. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for pre-existing faults or damage to a vehicle that were not caused by us.
The website
We aim to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but it is provided "as is" for general guidance and does not constitute professional or legal advice. We may change or update the site and these terms at any time; the date above shows the latest revision.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
